At a 10 p.m. press conference, Malloy told a packed room of reformers and leaders of at least one of the state’s teacher unions that the bill the Senate is expected to take up later this evening is just a beginning.

He pushed through the largest tax increase in state history after inheriting a $3 billion-plus disaster of a state budget; he was able to wring desperately needed concessions out of the state employee unions (after first failing); he instituted the “First Five” job-creation program; and won hard-fought approval for the Jackson Labs economic development project..

HRACC Advocacy Training Day This Friday

The Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC) is holding its 2nd Annual Legislative Advocacy Day for Human Resources this Friday, January 15, at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford. The seminar is free and will provide an opportunity to learn about successful advocacy and how to engage legislators on issues important to the work of HR professionals, their organizations and their communities.

Very successful combination, legal aspects and the human resources. After all, experts to work with staff often face with lack of knowledge for the legal structure. This is especially manifested in wrong custom papers filling, and simple carelessness. This workshop really has to be accepted as a basis and take place as often as possible.
