Katie Rosa


Director of Development

Katie joined ConnCAN as Director of Development in 2015. In her role, Katie is leading efforts to sustain ConnCAN’s advocacy, ensuring that team members working toward equity in education have access to the critical resources they need. 

Prior to joining ConnCAN, Katie co-founded an event management company where she led marketing and communications strategy and implementation, including establishing strategic partnerships and securing event sponsorships. She also served as Project Coordinator and later Interim Director of Workforce Solutions Collaborative of Metro Hartford, a regional collaborative of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions. While there, she oversaw policy and advocacy efforts, led special projects, secured federal and private foundation funding and convened and facilitated governing committees. Katie began her nonprofit career at United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut where she worked on developing the Hartford Campaign for Grade-Level Reading collaborative and worked with leadership to present United Way’s focus areas as investment opportunities and introduce the Donor Relations team to United Way Worldwide’s concept of product development.

A Connecticut native, Katie earned her BA in Political Science with minors in French and Islamic Civilization and Society from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA.
